The Basics of Coffee Brewing

In case you haven't thought about it, here are the basics of coffee brewing:

  1. Start with fresh, high-quality coffee beans. The flavor of your coffee will depend heavily on the beans you choose, so it's worth investing in a good quality bag.

  2. Grind your coffee beans to the right size for your chosen brewing method. Different brewing methods require different grind sizes, so make sure you choose the right one.

  3. Measure out the correct amount of coffee for your brewing method. As a general rule, you'll want to use 1-2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 oz. of water.

  4. Heat your water to the appropriate temperature. Again, this will depend on your chosen brewing method. As a general rule, you'll want your water to be between 195°F and 205°F.

  5. Add your coffee grounds to your brewing device (such as a drip coffee maker or French press), and then add your hot water.

  6. Allow your coffee to brew for the appropriate amount of time. Again, this will depend on your chosen brewing method.

  7. Once your coffee is done brewing, remove the grounds and enjoy!

Remember, the quality of your coffee will depend heavily on the quality of your beans, so always start with fresh, high-quality coffee for the best results.
